Align Your Brand Voice

A Consistent Voice
A consistent voice for your brand has never been more important than right now. In every industry and every market your company’s mission needs to be communicated clearly and from one consistent voice. It’s how you’re remembered in a crowded marketplace. Regardless of whatever product or service your selling, your potential customer is undoubtedly hearing a similar pitch from your competitor. How will they differentiate your message from theirs?
Here’s a couple ways:
Unify Your Channels
Aligning your brand across all your social media platforms, website and print and sales collateral is a simple way to get started. With many companies overhauling their outdated brand logos and colors, social media channels and sales materials out in the marketplace become “unbranded”. Check to see to that all your social media channels have updated profile pictures and cover images sized per channel. Make sure that your sales flyer and powerpoint templates are inline with that new logo and color palette. And last, but certainly not least, is your website up-to-date with all that new print collateral.
Know Your Audience
Another important aspect to communicating your brand consistently is knowing who is listening. If you’re talking to potential clients, getting them to the right content quickly is huge. For current clients up-selling or cross-selling services under one umbrella can make it easier for them to understand the value of that new service. The right positioning and packaging of services can make all the difference.
Work with a Professional
I realize this comes off as a shameless plug for Dakota Diesel but it’s true. Don’t try to manage all the nuances of social media channels yourself. Don’t rely on cookie cutter templates that you can find on the web. Hire a professional that will delve into your brand and make sure the voice is consistent and more importantly is right for your company.
