Cathey White

Cathey White is an artist, educator and native of Philadelphia. She holds a BFA in fine art and education from Moore College of Art & Design. White’s paintings and drawings speak to the beauty and color that can be found throughout the muted background of the city. White’s work explores local architecture, urban archaeology and everyday objects that spark memory and nostalgia. She recently was one of forty-three artists selected to paint a large-scale public mural for the Tiny Room for Elephants Festival at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia. Her work has also been featured at various shops and galleries including: The Brooklyn Art Library, Temple School of Podiatric Medicine, Dock Street Brewery, Moore College of Art & Design, Kensington Community Co-Op, Philadelphia Distilling, B Square Gallery, House Gallery 1816, City Arts Salon and the NoName Art Gallery- Chestnut Hill.
