DSD Renewables is a national solar company born under the GE brand. DSD needed to create a brand to separate themselves not only from their competitors in an emerging market but also create a new brand to step out from the global GE brand umbrella. In a partnership with our agency partner IMA we created a brand from scratch that has become a true leader in the industry.

Our approach was to start with a new logo and color palette and brand that DSD could grow with. In those early days of telling the brand story visuals were scarce and stock photography was what everyone else was doing. We decided to use custom illustrations of key projects to start. We evolved the brand over a couple years through  social media posts, case studies and an ever-evolving website. A key aspect of creating the brand was building strong, yet flexible guidelines complete with MS templates and custom icon library.
